A surrealist eco-adventure.
How do you turn sustainability from an overwhelming global challenge into an adventure that sparks the imagination?
For Amazon, we set out to tell a different kind of sustainability story. One that traded familiar, issue-led messaging for a world where the everyday could become extraordinary, and the future felt full of possibility.
Developed with my writing partner Doree Speidel, the concept unfolded through the eyes of a precocious young hero, whose journey took us somewhere between reality and a wonderfully offbeat dream. Ordinary moments gave way to unexpected encounters, surreal imagery and playful twists, building a world that felt curious, unpredictable and full of life. Beneath the whimsy was a more heartfelt idea: that a better future begins with the ability to imagine one.
As Creative Director, I led the creative vision from concept through execution, shaping the narrative and its visual world to balance humour, wonder and purpose. The result was a brand film that approached sustainability not as a problem to be lectured about, but as a world waiting to be reimagined. An invitation to look at the familiar differently, find possibility in the unexpected and believe that the future could be something extraordinary.
